Play it your way
Browser
Nothing to install
Ready
The full game runs in any modern browser — the same shelf, the same account,
on a laptop or a phone. The button above is all it takes.
On your home screen
Like an app, no store needed
Ready
LittleShelf can sit on your home screen with its own icon and open without
the browser bars around it. It is the same game, just closer to hand.
iPhone & iPad (Safari): open
littleshelf.de in Safari, tap the Share button at the
bottom (the square with the arrow), scroll down and choose
Add to Home Screen.
Android (Chrome): open littleshelf.de in Chrome,
tap the ⋮ menu at the top right and choose Install app —
on some phones it is called Add to Home screen.
Works on the desktop too: Chrome and Edge show an install icon on the right
side of the address bar.
Android app
Google Play
In preparation
The app is on its way to the Play Store. Until it is there, put the game on your
home screen as described above — it behaves the same way, and your account and
shelf carry over either way.
Discord
Play next to your friends
Ready
LittleShelf runs inside Discord as an Activity — in a voice channel,
next to the people you are already talking to. No second account: you sign in
with Discord and land in your own shelf.
How to start it: join our Discord server, go into any voice
channel, open the Activities menu (the rocket icon) and pick
LittleShelf.
Windows desktop app
Its own window, no browser tabs
Download
A small desktop app for Windows that opens LittleShelf in its own window —
same account, same shelf, nothing to keep in sync. Sign in with your
e-mail, with Google or through Steam; everything you collect is the same
collection you have in the browser.
How to get it: download the installer from itch.io and run
it. It sets LittleShelf up like any other Windows program and puts it in
your start menu.
On the first start Windows may show a blue warning about an unknown
publisher — the app is not code-signed yet. Pick More info and
then Run anyway.
Steam
Sign in with your Steam account
In preparation
LittleShelf is coming to Steam as a desktop version. You will be able to sign
in through Steam — no password, no second account — and land in your own shelf.
Already playing here? Link your Steam account beforehand under
Options → Steam account in the game; then the Steam version opens
exactly the shelf you already have.
Live & community
Watch us collect live – now and then the stream shows promo codes,
just for those watching. And on Discord you'll meet the other collectors.

ArrangeFour boards, your style. Decorate your cozy shelf with wallpaper and badges.
ShowFriends visit your shelf, give one heart a day and share their own originals.
The vision
Everyone has that one shelf at home – the place where the things you love end up.
LittleShelf is that shelf as a game: collect what is rare, beautiful or just yours,
give it a spot, and let others discover it. No grind, no timers that punish you,
no pay-to-win. Just the quiet pride of a collection that grows with you.
Made by one person
LittleShelf is a one-man project. Every item, every mechanic and every line of code
comes from one desk – and so does every answer to your feedback. No studio, no
roadmap written by a committee. Whatever you suggest in the game’s “workshop” goes
straight to the person who can actually make it happen.
A game that keeps growing
This is a service game, meant to be looked after for years: seasons with curated
items, events, new themes and collections, player-made originals joining the catalogue
every month. Your shelf is never finished – and neither is the game. What you build
today will still be yours when the next season starts.
What is LittleShelf?
LittleShelf is a free collecting game for the browser, your phone and Discord.
You search for small, odd, beautiful things – coins, cassettes, fossils, rubber ducks –
and put the ones you like on your own shelf. There is no combat, no timer that punishes
you for logging off and nothing you can buy to win. The whole game is the collection
and what you make of it.
How a day looks
You have searches, and they refill on their own – twenty-four of them are waiting on
your first day. Every search turns up an item. Duplicates are not waste: merge them
into rarer versions, offer them in the marketplace or record them in your archive book,
where every finished collection earns a badge. What you keep goes on one of your four
boards, and how it looks there is up to you: wallpapers, shelf styles, decoration and
a cozy shelf that exists purely for arranging.
Play it anywhere
The same shelf follows you: open it in the browser, install it on your phone as an app,
install the desktop app for Windows or start it inside Discord as an Activity and
collect next to your friends — and a Steam version with Steam sign-in is on its way. One account,
one collection, no separate versions. Publishing your shelf gives you a link anybody can
open – no account needed to look.
Frequently asked
Is LittleShelf free?
Yes, the whole game is playable without paying. There is an optional shop, and what it sells are cosmetic extras and conveniences – a rename, extra comfort features, statistics. It does not sell collectibles, rarities or places in the rankings.
Do I need to install anything?
No — the game itself runs in any modern browser. On a phone you can add it to your home screen and it behaves like an app, and inside Discord it opens as an Activity. There is an optional desktop app for Windows on top of that; it comes as an installer you download from itch.io. The Steam version is in preparation.
What do I actually collect?
Everyday things, curiosities and oddities, sorted into collections and rarities – from common finds to legendary items. New themes, events and seasons keep arriving, and players design items of their own that join the catalogue.
Can I play with friends?
Yes. Add friends, visit their shelves, leave a heart once a day and trade through the marketplace. You can also publish your shelf as a public page and share the link with anyone.
Does it cost me time every day?
Only as much as you want. Searches pile up while you are away, nothing expires out of spite, and a shelf left alone stays exactly as you arranged it.
